Privacy Policy

ClanMe Pte Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("user" or "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website JobDance.ai, in compliance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") as administered by the Personal Data Protection Commission ("PDPC").

1. Personal Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity data: full name, profile photo.
  • Contact data: email address, phone number, location.
  • Professional data: work experience, education, skills, certifications, projects, languages, resume content.
  • Account data: login credentials (managed by Supabase Auth), OAuth provider IDs (LinkedIn, Google).
  • Usage data: resume view counts, feature usage, gamification activity (streaks, badges, XP).
  • Assessment data: DISC and personality assessment responses and results.
  • Payment data: transaction records (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details).
  • Communications: feedback messages you submit through the platform.

2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Collection

We collect and use your personal data only for the purposes for which you provide consent at registration, including:

  • Creating and managing your candidate account.
  • Matching your profile with potential employment opportunities via AI-assisted tools.
  • Providing AI-powered career tools (resume optimisation, interview practice, cover letter generation, career path planning).
  • Enabling recruiters to discover your anonymised profile when you opt in to the talent pool.
  • Processing credit purchases and maintaining your credit balance.
  • Sending transactional emails (account activity, ATS match notifications) via Resend.
  • Improving our platform through aggregate, anonymised analytics.

We will not use your personal data for direct marketing without your separate, explicit consent.

3. Third-Party Data Processors

We engage the following sub-processors who may process your personal data on our behalf. All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements and are required to maintain appropriate safeguards:

  • Supabase Inc. (USA) — database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Data may be stored on AWS infrastructure.
  • OpenAI, LLC (USA) — AI processing for resume parsing, optimisation, ATS matching, cover letter generation, interview practice, and career path tools. Your profile and resume content is transmitted to OpenAI to generate responses. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train its models by default.
  • Stripe, Inc. (USA) — payment processing for credit purchases. Stripe handles all card data; we only store transaction references.
  • Resend Inc. (USA) — transactional email delivery (notifications, receipts).

By using our Services, you consent to your personal data being transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where these sub-processors operate, which may have different data protection laws from Singapore.

4. AI and Automated Processing

Several features of JobDance.ai use artificial intelligence to process your personal data, including automated resume scoring, keyword matching, and career recommendations. These AI outputs are provided as suggestions only and do not constitute legally binding decisions. You may contact us at any time to request human review of any AI-generated output that affects you.

When you share your resume via a public link, recruiters may use the AI ATS Match tool, which sends your profile data to OpenAI for analysis. By generating a public share link, you consent to this processing when a recruiter uses this feature.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Specific retention periods:

  • Profile and account data: retained until you delete your account.
  • ATS match results: retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Credit transaction logs: retained for 3 years for financial record-keeping.
  • Platform feedback: retained for 1 year.
  • Recruiter waitlist submissions: retained until the product launches or you request removal.

On account deletion, all your personal data is permanently erased from our active systems within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days.

6. Disclosure of your Information

Your personal data may be visible to recruiters using the Jobdance platform only if you have opted in to the talent pool, or if you have shared a public resume link. We will not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may disclose personal data if required by law or court order.

7. Your Rights Under the PDPA

As a data subject under Singapore PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your account and all associated personal data via the "Delete My Account" option in your profile settings.
  • Data Portability: download a machine-readable copy of your data at any time via the "Download My Data" option in your profile settings.
  • Withdraw Consent: withdraw consent for any specific use of your data at any time. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.

To exercise any of these rights, use the tools in your profile settings or contact us at info@jobdance.ai. We will respond within 10 business days.

8. Security of your Information

We implement row-level security on all database tables, encrypted connections (TLS), and access controls to protect your personal data. All personal data is stored in Supabase with encryption at rest. In the event of a data breach that is likely to cause significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the PDPC within 3 business days.
